'The Earth has music for those who listen ' —George Santayana.
On 16th May 2018, the SHLOKA AND POEM RECITATION inter -class competition was organised for Class 2 students. All the five sections participated and presented their Shlokas and Poems with much enthusiasm and cheer. The choral presentations of the poems and melodious shlokas left the audience spellbound. The parents of the students who came to cheer were proud to see their wards on stage performing with confidence and aplomb.
The boys accomplished the challenging task of Shloka Recital with perfection, matching their notes with those of the harmonium. This was followed by the translation of the same in English. Through the poems which centred around the theme -‘Beauty of NATURE '- the boys not only marvelled at God’s perfect artwork but also reminded the audience about our utmost duty to protect Mother Earth.
Our esteemed judges, Ms. Agnes Sunny and Ms. Malini Mathur were all praises for the young Columbans.
Br. James graced the function to applaud the efforts of the boys. The Headmistress of Junior School, Mrs. Ritu Kaushal admired the presentations prepared by each class and encouraged the students with her motivating words. Ms. Vandana Sharma gave a vote of thanks to the respected judges, Br. James, Mrs. Ritu Kaushal and the parents for their uplifting presence.
