Middle School Events Detail

Title : BANGLAORE-OOTY EXCURSION 20-25TH MAY (2018-19)

St. Columba’s school students from classes 6-10th went for an excursion trip for 5 days & 6 nights to Bangalore, Mysore and Ooty. There were 51 students and 6 teachers accompanied them. All the 5 days were full of informative, educative sight seeing and a lot of fun filled activities for the boys. The trips highlights were:

1. Bangalore city tour (science centre, Lal bagh, botanical gardens, Iskon temple)

2. A thrilled day visit to Wonderla followed by visit to Brindavan garden for a light & sound show.

3. Drive to Ooty through Bandipur tiger reserve and Madhumalai forest reserve where children spotted lots of wild animals.

4. In Ooty there was tea factory visit, Ooty lake, Botanical gardens and St. Stephens church visit, followed by DJ night.

5. On our way back to Mysore, there was a visit to silk factory, Mysore palace, Chamundeshwari temple.

6. Last day was kept for visit to Srirangapatnam temple and Tipu sultan summer palace museum.

 

The children had a totally packed schedule involving loads of traveling and while they enjoyed, they also learned about rich Indian heritage.
