Drawing Competition on Remote Sensing conducted on 10th August, 2018 in St Columba's School
A Drawing Competition on "Remote Sensing-What and Why" was held in the basement of Edmund Rice Hall on 10th August, 2018 between 1.30 to 3.00 pm. Around 150 students from classes 7 to 12 participated. Prior to the commence of the competition, Dr Shibendu S. Ray, Director, Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Centre, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and his team of scientists introduced the concept of Remote Sensing to the boys. There was also a question answer session and the boys enthusiastically participated and posed intelligent questions, which were appreciated by the team of visiting scientists. After the introduction of topic, the boys made beautiful drawings on the topic.
The activity was conducted by Mrs P. Dhasmana, Art Teacher along with the team comprising of Mrs Sangeeta Tripathy and Mr McDonald.
