Title : RHYME AND RHYTHM (2018-19)

Our souls do not speak human languages, they communicate to us through vision, symbols, metaphors, poetry and music! This was so beautifully portrayed by the students of classes 4 to 7 in a spectacular event, the Rhyme and Rhythm competition held on the 21st of August 2018.

The event not only focusses on creating a competitive attitude in our boys but also aims to enlighten them with some aesthetic values and instill in them a love for poetry and appreciate things written in verse.

The theme for this year’s event for classes 4 and 5 was ‘nature and the importance to conserve it ‘and for classes 6 and 7 it was ‘Women; the nurturer and provider’.

We were honoured to have Sr. Tina Maria, Principal, Carmel Convent School, New Delhi and Sr. Archana, Principal, Loreto Convent, Delhi, as our Chief Guests for the event. They congratulated thestudents fortheirexcellent performance and were impressed with the way the classes recited their poems with proper diction and expression.

Our esteemed judges from the Senior and Junior wings, Mr Dennis Mathew, Mrs Pooja Guglani, Mrs Teresa Brown and Miss Akanksha Bhatti were full of praise for our young lads and enjoyed the presentation thoroughly. They congratulated the students and the teachers for their tireless effort. A musical number played by two of our students, John and Steve Alexander of Grade 9 was much appreciated by the gathering.

We look forward to a mesmerising event next year!
