Title : RHYME AND RHYTHM CLASS - I (2018-19)

“All poetry and music, and art of every true sort, bears witness to man's continual falling in love with beauty and his desperate attempt to induce beauty to live with him and enrich his common life.”

—John Bertram Phillips

The students of Class 1 staged the Rhyme and Rhythm Competition on the 31st of September 2018 in the Junior School. The enthusiastic boys came together to showcase their talent to recite and sing. There were section wise presentations where the students gave interesting introductions followed by eloquent and well coordinated choral recitations and singing.

It was an honour to have our Principal, Br. Miranda and Mr. Naresh Chopra, Senior Administatrator, Senior School who motivated the boys with their gracious presence. The esteemed judges for the event, Mrs. Helen Noronah from the Middle School and Miss. Arunika Payal from the Senior School applauded the efforts of the young lads who presented the poems and songs with impressive enunciation, expressions and melody. The stage decorations and headgears in different shades of hues further accentuated the performances leaving one and all spellbound.

The students of class 1 proposed a special vote of thanks at the end of the program. Our honourable Principal Br. Miranda gave a motivating speech citing the significance of language development through poetry and music.

Mrs. Kaushal, the Junior Wing Headmistress heaped praises and encouraged the efforts of the young Columbans.

The parents tucked in special memories as they witnessed their sons perform with confidence and aplomb.
