Class 8-C from Middle Section, St.Columba's School visited an old age women's home in St.Victoria School, Rajpura Road. It was indeed a beautiful and blessed trip where the students not only learned the values of respecting elders but also gained an insight on the struggles faced by old aged people and their adaptations to the changes around them. The students prepared a beautiful role-play on the theme of ‘Disjuncture in modern families’ and sang empathetic songs to entertain them which were highly appreciated by the old women staying there. The students also asked meaningful questions to know more about their lives. It was a memorable experience beyond words to describe. The message out of this visit was to “RESPECT ELDERS” and make this society a better place to live in.
