Venue: Old age women's home in St.Victoria School, Rajpura Road.
The students of Class 7 B and 8 C accompanied by their class teachers and two parent volunteers visited an old age home for elderly women in St. Victoria school on 6th February, 2019.
The students presented a programme which included a skit, carols, songs, prayers and Dance. The students enjoyed interacting with the elderly ladies. It was indeed a beautiful and blessed trip where the students not only learned the values of respecting elders but also gained an insight on the struggles faced by old aged people and their adaptations to the changes around them. The ladies were happy to meet the students and see such homely gestures by them.
The students contributed in the form of groceries, soaps, bed sheets and wollen shawls.This visit was a magnificent step in sensitizing the students how a little effort can make a huge difference in the lives of others. The students vowed to do something for senior citizens and hence contribute towards the betterment of the society as a whole.
