Summer holidays are a good time for fun and frolic. The students look forward to this part of the year with much enthusiasm.
The boys of class 2B chose ‘Hello Vacation’ as the topic for their class assembly, just before the school closed. The students enacted a short skit elaborating different constructive ideas to spend the holidays while engaging in interesting activities like sports, art and craft, reading, music, dance and other hobbies. The boys beautifully presented how the summer holidays could be put to best use by participating in fun filled and creative activities at home and in the vicinity.
A group of boys danced to the foot tapping tune of the song “Sing a song of sunshine….” as the singers held attractive cutouts of bright flowers in their hands.
Finally, the boys were also updated about an online programme they can join in the holidays by logging onto www.literacy planet.com or on Tata Sky Television Services to enhance their English speaking skills, vocabulary, pronunciation and spellings.
The assembly culminated in a meaningful prayer and was well appreciated by all due to its informative content. The air was jubilant as the Headmistress of the Junior Wing, Mrs Ritu Kaushal wished all the boys a happy and safe summer vacation. The boys joyously headed back to their classes for the last day before the school closed
