a.Fortis Psyched Quiz
Kartik Rathi of 12 E stood among top 100 students out of 15000 students all over India that participated in the quiz event.
b. CCSCSB Music and Dance Competition
Steve Alexander of class 11 E participated in an online music and dance competition organized by Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board and bagged the First position in Western Musical (Age 12-16).
c. “Wabi – Sabi”
Our Columbans participated in "Wabi - Sabi" - an inter school Psychology Symposium organised by Convent of Jesus and Mary.
Aditya Balachandran (12-D) and Ishaan Sharda (12-E) stood Second in Art and Poetry competition.
Steve Alexander (11-E) and John Alexander (11- B) also stood Second in the musical event.
d. Crisis Summit 2020- Rajkumar College
In the Rajkumar Crisis Summit 2020 hosted by Rajkumar college, Raipur, Shreyas Baksi of class 11-D was the delegate of Chelsea and part of the UEFA Committee. Through his convincing speeches and debating prowess, he won the honour of High Commendation and a cash prize of 2500 Rupees.
e. Notion of Discourse Inter School Debate Competition
Abhinav Singh of 11-C was the Best Speaker For The Motion in the Notion Of Discourse Inter School Debate Competition organized by the Cambridge School during their annual Cognizance Fest, held on the 18th of November. The topic for the debate was "There Should Be Social Media Trials in The Country Before the Actual Judicial Trials Too".
f. Big Brain Buzz
Shreyas A Baksi of class 11- D participated in the big brain buzz- The National level quiz fest organized by KMBVM Thrissur which was held on 31st October and 1st November 2020. He secured third position in the sports and entertainment Quiz.
g. Desire to Achieve
John Alexander, Class 11- B was invited to be a SPECIAL GUEST at the FIRST I LEAD VOCALISTIC SENIOR ONLINE COMPETITION TEST at Indus International School, Pune on 8th November 2020. He also played a role of a judge, judging the performances of the participants. He gave a motivational speech towards the end of the event. Recently, The Hindustan Times published an article on John on its student edition elaborating his achievements in the field of music.
h. Ideation – There was an online Inter-School Competition 'Technika' hosted by Cambridge School, Indirapuram. Shambhava, Samarth Jain, Sushant Kumar and Aditya Sebastian came second.
i. Manthan: Wonders of the World - An online Inter-School Competition 'Cognizance' was hosted by Cambridge School, Indirapuram. Shambhava, Aditya Sebastian, Shreyas Baksi and Samarth Jain came first in this All-India Competition.
j. Through the Lens - An online Inter-School Competition 'The Odyssey' was hosted by Ryan International School. Shambhava, Ronnaq Wilson, Abel Jacob and Leekhit Patwal came third.
k. Fampay Youth fest- It’s debatable
Tanish Jain of 11-A participated in a debate coup. He secured the 8th position out of 1500 participants. He attained a merit certificate. His topic was: can India still restore its sovereignty and demographics with more inclusions of terrorism.
l. Film-making competition
‘I have decided to paint the sun tomorrow' was A film making competition hosted by the Father Agnel School, Noida on 3rd October 2020. Leekhit Patwal and Ronnaq Wilson of 11-B represented St. Columba’s School and secured the 2nd position.
m. Children’s Day GyaanSpace Quiz
Children's Day Special School Quiz was conducted by Gyaanspace on 14th November 2020. Ansh Gupta of class 11-A was one of the final 8 winners of the quiz competition out of 1500 participants.
n. Suryansh Govind, student of 11-A, was invited to participate in the "8th Wealth Management Convention 2020" organized by the American Academy of Financial Management on 5th and 6th December 2020.
Topics ranging from Fusion Analysis to Asset Allocation & Volatility Management, Suryansh actively discussed the strategies for Financial Wellbeing in the Corporate World.
He was applauded by the host for his exemplary performance and financial knowledge
o. LOREM MUZICA - A MUSIC EVENT
A virtual Music Event themed, "Mental Wellness and Mental Health" was conducted by Convent of Jesus and Mary on 20th November, 2020. Eight schools from all over Delhi participated and were screened with their pre-recorded video clips in the first round. In the second and the final round, the participants were given the tune of a popular song and were asked to sing by changing the original lyrics of the song to make it relevant to psychology based on mental wellness.
The Alex Brothers ,John(11B) and Steve (11E) secured second place and became 1st runners up in this Inter-school Music Competition.
