St. Vincent's High and Technical School, Asansol hosted Br. Aloysius Ballantyne Memorial Under-19 Basketball Tournament. 7 Christian Brother Schools across India participated in the tournament. The Senior Basketball Team played their first match against St. Patrick's School, Asansol. The final score was 18-13 and SCS won by 5 points.
The Second Match was played against St. Vincent's, Asansol, the host team. The final score was 34-12 where SCS won by 22 points and knocked out the home team from the tournament. The Senior Team played the Semi-finals against St. John's School,Chandigarh, the defending champions. The final score was 15-12 where SCS won by 3 points.
SCS played the finals against Geothals Memorial School, Kurseong. The match ended with a score of 19-19 with which the match went to Extra time. The Extra time ended with a score of 21-21 and entered into another Extra time.
The thrilling and dramatic match ended with a final score of 23-27 where SCS lost by 4 points and Geothals won the match. The SCS Basketball team was the runner's up of the tournament with Ronald Ekka from St.Columba's being declared as the Best Player of the Tournament.
