The Literary Club, an initiative under the umbrella of the English Language Development Programme (ELDP), was envisioned to provide a creative platform for students to foster love for and appreciation of the English language. A session was conducted on Wednesday, 10th July by Tijil Garg, an ex-Columban, with the objectives of developing confidence and honing the oratory skills of students. The hour-long session started off with an interactive activity,followed by an ice breaking activity aimed at developing a sense of effective space management onstage. After that a character improvisation activity in which students enacted various situations leveraging props, was conducted to enable them to think creatively on their feet and improve their speaking skills.
