Title : AWARD CEREMONY :- (2019-20)

The theme of the Middle Section Awards this year was 21st CENTURIONS and the takeaway mantra for the awardees and students of Class 10 seated in the audience was DETERMINATION – to never give up on their dreams, to never give up on their goals!

The choir of the Middle Section gave a perfect rendition of the song BURN IN ME by Paul Wilbur and Steve Alexander hit all the right notes in his solo recital on the saxophone.

There were two new awards this year,  KanhaYadav was the first recipient of the Phoenix Award instituted by Brother Miranda and his family in memory of their late parents.  The second award was the Brother Lawrence Award  instituted by the  Columban batch 1990. Nixon Joseph shared this award with

PreetKhare.

Arjit Singh Arora won the Columban of the Year trophy to a thunderous round of applause.

Mr Linus Lopez an ex – Columban and a parent addressed the students in a speech straight from the heart.DevanshWadhwa ,  in his maiden speech ,giving the students perspective, impressed the audience with his earnestness !

In his address ,Brother Miranda thanked the patrons and encouraged the students to stay focused. He spoke about Brother Leonard and his contribution in shaping the lives of many.

MrsSheel first thanked Blessed Edmund Rice in her vote of thanks then in no order of preference the parents, patrons, the awards  team and the  Grade IV staff for the wonderful ceremony.

The hospitality team surpassed all  expectations  with a sumptuous spread of innovative bite sized snacks for tea.  A special mention needs to be made about the aesthetic layout of the snacks, thanks to MrSumitChichra , a parent, who came forth and volunteered to assist the hospitality team.
