Competitions play a role in motivating students to perform and excel and offer a reward far greater than just the winning prize. They offer a chance for participants to receive exposure and experience. St Columba’s was invited to participate in the Interschool festival Luminaire organized by Mother’s International School on 9th August 2019, Aurobindo Marg. The legendary bard Shakespeare was the focus of the competition. Schools had to choose one play amongst Hamlet, Othello, Much Ado About Nothing, andComedy of errors.Our school put on a lively sequence from The Comedy of Errorsin Shakespearean English. Everyone on stage and in the audience enjoyed this cheerful slapstick comedy.The Students of Class X did a commendable job as they portrayed characters of varying shades and emotions. The attire complemented the wonderful performances by the students. The following were the participants:
