Title : ASSEMBLY BY CLASS – 1A (2019-20)

We, in the Junior Wing, try to use our morning assembly as an effective platform to make children learn and reinforce concepts, get opportunities to speak in English and present themselves confidently in front of a big audience. Keeping these objectives in mind, the boys of class 1A conducted the class assembly on the topic “The value of Zero”.

The assembly started with a short skit, a narrative between the famous Indian Mathematician, Aryabhatt and the numbers, wherein they are all ridiculing the number zero for its insignificance. Aryabhatta explains the importance of zero in our lives by showing how it increases the value of any number by placing itself after the number. The short play beautifully presented the moral of appreciating the qualities and uniqueness of each other. This was followed by a foot tapping dance on the song “Let us learn the numbers!” by all the boys wearing number tags around their necks.

The assembly came to its finale with interesting HOTS questions related to the properties of zero to the boys of classes 1, 2 and 3. The students enthusiastically raised their hands and participated actively.

In the end, the boys presented an action song "Na Na Na...I am so happy" as a physical education drill. The performance bagged applause and appreciation by all.
