Title : PRINCIPALS’ AND EDUCATORS’ CONCLAVE ON PREPARING THE STUDENTS FOR 21ST CENTURY

-The world is an oyster, it helps if you are armed with 21st century skills!

A session on Preparing students on 21st century skills was held at The Park, New Delhi on the 29th of August 2019 by guest speakers- Mr. Rajesh Sood (Chairman Mahatatva) and Mrs. Dipali Sahanvi (CEO Mahatatva).
Mrs. R. Joseph and Mrs. S Tiwari from the Junior Wing, attended the session.

The speakers focused on how the students are expected to prove their mettle by acquiring skills, exploring capabilities, and navigating through competition. Educators, academic researchers and policy makers agreed that for today’s learners, the 21st century skills broadly categorised as Learning Skills, Literacy Skills and Life Skills are vital foundations of students’ success. These skills are valued in a complex, globalized and rapidly changing digital world.

21st Century skills such as Critical thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Information literacy, Media literacy, Technology literacy, Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, Productivity and Social skills are intended to help students keep up with the lightning-pace of today’s modern scenario. Each skill is unique in how it helps students, but they all have one quality in common-they’re essential in the age of the Internet.
There was an interactive session where the participants discussed the challenges they may face while inculcating and reinforcing these skills.
The workshop was a great opportunity and a wonderful learning experience for both the teachers who attended it.
