Title : SPECIAL DAY ASSEMBLY ON "SIGNIFICANCE OF A LIBRARY" - CLASS 3 (2019-20)

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary”
-Jim Rohn

An interesting morning assembly was organised by class 3 students on the 25th of September 2019 in the Junior Wing.

The theme of the Assembly revolved around ‘The significance of a Library’. The boys spoke about the benefits of reading and the importance of books in man’s life. There was a simple yet beautiful presentation about the ‘Rules of a Library’ that we all ought to follow to maintain its decorum. A library is the door to knowledge and learning which kindles the spirit of discovery among students.

As part of the ongoing celebrations to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Bapu’s love for reading and books was also incorporated in the presentation. Gandhi Ji’s passion for reading and how he was impacted by his favourite books was showcased as well.

The assembly concluded with one of Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite bhajans,“Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” which was melodiously sung by the Indian Music Choir.

The PT Drill for the assembly was a hit amongst the junior school students, as they danced along to the tune of “Baby Shark!”- a peppy number that set a joyous tone for the day to begin.
