Title : PARENTS-PRINCIPAL ORIENTATION FOR CLASSES 4-10 (2019-20)

In the last four days, eight sessions of Parents-Principal Orientation were held and attended by parents. Before every sessions, registration of parents took place.  The class teachers distributed to every parent, their ward’s personalized report on the ASSET performance.

Our Principal, Brother Miranda began the session with the significance of the prayer, “Our Father in Heaven” followed by the reading of the prayer. An important features of these sessions was the interaction of Parents with a representative from ASSET, Mr Jerin Joseph. Parents were explained in detail on how to read and understand the ASSET result booklet of their ward and improve the weak skills identified by ASSET.

Brother Miranda highlighted the need to study the route map displayed for Parents to identify a suitable bus route and submit information to the school on the same. He asked Parents to opt for school arranged DTC bus facility.

Other issues discussed by Brother with the Parents were:

Columbans to be properly and smartly dressed to school. The collar and the necktie should be comfortable.

Focus of our students should be to achieve the target of the projection marks agreed upon by them.

8th and 9th November will be non-class days for classes KG to 12 on account of Model United Nations being held at SCS.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit the school on the 20th of November. Parents may visit the website to get invitees to attend this event.

Effort should be to reduce the weight of the school bag and some suggestions were shared with the parents.

The Parents were told that for career counselling, the school will work in partnership with Mindler.

Some important reminders related to CBSE were shared with Parents of class 10.
