A young, highly motivated and enthusiastic team of Innovators left ST. COLUMBA’S SCHOOL ,Delhi on 7th Nov by Rajdhani to the hub of intelligence IIT KHARAGPUR to participate in YIP 2019.The team comprised of Debargha Das and Srivatsa Davuluri both students of class 10 who had made a working model (hardware modelling) Smart City.
From 850 teams (2000+ participants) in Round 1 and Round 2 only 33 teams were invited for Round 3 to IIT KHARAGPUR.
After a warm welcome on 8th November all the teams displayed their models on 9th November. The model displayed by our team was visited by one and all because of its ability to address the problems faced by an urban city and suggested efforts to develop it into a smart city.
Facing competition from teams from as far as Singapore, Indonesia, to as close as Delhi, Haryana our team could not make it to the final round on 10th November 2019.
Our team reached Delhi on the 12th of Nov enriched with experience and elated with special appreciation received by all. They plan to continue making such projects and participating in many more competitions.We wish all the best to Debargha Das and Srivatsa Davuluri in their future endeavors.
