Title : CULTURAL SHOW - CLASS 1 (2019-20)

A Cultural Extravaganza was organized in the Junior Wing by Class 1 on the pleasant morning of the 7th of November, 2019.  It was a beautiful mix of dance, drama, music, elocution and fashion which enthralled one and all.

With the objective of educating the students about our cultural values, boosting their confidence and providing them with opportunities to face the stage, the cultural mix of performances began with an interesting prelude. A Street Play by the members of the Hindi Club was the perfect start as the rhythmic narrative performance drew the attention of one and all. It left a remarkable message for the parents to spend qualitative time with their children.

Boasting of hundred percent participation by all the students of class 1, the show had five performances by the respective sections.

Class 1A students touched upon a very alien topic called “Aliens love underpants”. This humorous skit stressed on the importance of hygiene in a subtle way. The ‘Pant Song’ stole the show as the children dressed in adorable costumes brought the stage alive with their dance moves. The students were spectacular and displayed great confidence as they enacted the skit.

The boys of Class 1B under the able guidance of their teacher, took the audience down musical memory lane paying tribute to the most popular bands of all times. The students paid an ode to the legends of music through a musical fashion show - ‘Rock of Ages’ in the garb of fashion. The audience were left cheering and asking for more.

Through a beautiful story, the students of Class 1C presented the essence of celebrating the uniqueness of each one of us. They performed a short skit confidently on stage, narrating the story of a grumpy tree and giving the beautiful message of appreciating the giftedness that each one of us is blessed with. The coordinated dances and hummable melodies by the choir added to the fun.

The students of Class 1D dwelled on the imaginative story - “Mr. Sun takes a holiday”. The boys were at their best presenting the scenario of the world when the mighty Mr Sun takes a break and is dearly missed by one and all. Finally when he agrees to rise again, it’s a moment for all to rejoice. The boys shook a leg on a peppy number, culminating the skit on a joyous note.

As the finale of this cultural extravaganza, the boys of Class 1E came up with the traditional epic ‘Ramayana’. In elaborate and colourful costumes, the boys left one and all spellbound with their acting prowess and dancing skills. Attractive props and songs added to the effect.

The cultural spectacle was appreciated by one and all. It displayed the talents of our little ones who faced the stage with much aplomb and enthusiasm.

The event was judged by Mrs Rohini Gabriel from the Middle Wing. She congratulated all for the great success of the show.

The parents couldn't stop applauding as their children impressed them with their stage presence. Br. Steve and Br. Miranda encouraged the boys and remarked on the praiseworthy efforts of the boys and teachers. Mrs Kaushal presented the vote of thanks and further motivated the students to always do their best.
