Title : THE ART OF BEING BRILLIANT - WORKSHOP (2019-20)

Scholastic India organised a workshop for teachers and educators by world renowned author and motivational teacher, Andy Cope on the 23rd of October, 2019 in Sirifort Auditorium.
Andy Cope’s famous approach - ‘The Art of Being Brilliant’ was the theme of the session. Stress, unhappiness and discontent plagues an alarmingly large number of people. As per Andy Cope only a small number of people which he terms as “2 percenters” are actually happy. He specializes in Positive Psychology which is the scientific study of the "good life", or the positive aspects of human experience that make life worth living. The discipline of positive psychology stresses on both individual and societal well-being.
The workshop was attended by Mrs P. Guglani and Mrs R. Joseph from the Junior Wing and Mrs D. Bhatia from the Middle Wing. It was a highly interactive and enjoyable session for educators and teachers where the resource person detailed simple yet practical techniques of achieving the art of being the brilliant self of our own selves. It was indeed an awakening and enlightening workshop where he laid much significance on attracting happiness as a teacher and transferring the same to the students. Happiness being a much desired state in these stressful times, surely needs to be constantly worked on especially by the teachers and educators to make learning an enriching experience for the learners. Andy Cope also shared some of the ‘secrets’ of Positive Psychology, focusing on learning new habits of thinking and behaviour that will sustain brilliance both in the personal and professional fronts.
