Title : CHRISTIAN RECOLLECTION - WORKSHOP (2019-20)

“I am never alone.” Psalm 139

A half-day recollection was organised on the 16th of November, 2019, for the Christian staff to help them spend some time in prayerful reflection. The session was led by Fr. Joe Mannath, who is a renowned spiritual formator and lecturer.

The programme was based on Scripture and encouraged the staff to base their faith and life on the everlasting love and presence of God in our lives. Father gave us insights that God thinks of us every time, even if we don’t think of him.
He initiated the discussion about happiness and what makes a person happy in his life. He elaborated that happiness may vary for different age groups. Through a video presentation, our attention was drawn to the fact that satisfying relationships and social connections are vital to leading a fruitful life.
Fr. Joe highlighted that religiosity is the way of living with love and compassion in our hearts.
He also discussed about ways of overcoming jealousy and dealing with negative emotions. He encouraged moving from the ethic of cult to the ethic of relationship as the key of life.
The session brought in a lot of positivity and enlightened all with thoughts of faith, love, values, and prayer in life. The staff who attended this session surely felt that it was a session of immense wisdom and learning.
It was truly a wonderful half day that clarified to us what it means to live a spiritual life.
