Title : THE FOUNDER’S DAY 0N-LINE ASSEMBLY (2020-21)

On Founder’s Day we celebrated the legacy and work of our founder Blessed Edmund Rice. This year, we celebrated it on 5th May but through the online medium.

Twelve boys and their parents of class 5 A helped me to prepare this assembly and I uploaded the same on YouTube. The video starts with a presentation of our school, “We are gifted” that  gave a glimpse of the events that took place round the year in our school. Further ahead in the presentation, the life journey of Blessed Edmund was showcased by Reyansh, Arsh Gupta and Utkarsh. Nehemiah, Raghav, Vangao, Steve and Harshveer gave a melodious rendition of the song ‘Where to go Edmund’. A talk on ‘Principles and Values of Edmund’ was eloquently presented by Harshveer and Ranbir. The programme’s highlight was a skit prepared by Arsh Gupta, his parents and house staff to reiterate the vision of Edmund. Through this dramatic presentation, our students expressed the ways to provide food to the poor who are badly affected by Covid 19.

Our Principal, Brother Miranda shared his thoughts in an inspirational message. Through a short video, an amalgamation of drawings of Blessed Edmund Rice was depicted in the form of a collage, made by Arsh, Raghav, Utkarsh, Nehemiah, Vivaan, Ayush, Reyansh, Pritish and Harshveer.

This special assembly on YouTube was viewed by 2700 of our students and their families and got several likes.
