Neat and beautiful handwriting always seeks the attention of viewers. When we see someone’s written work, we judge him by his or her handwriting. Handwriting is a part of our identity and an essential tool for communication. Practising handwriting is an incredibly important exercise for children enabling them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency.
An online Handwriting Competition was organized on 4th May, 2020 for classes 4 to 10. It was an innovative and a new learning experience for our young Columbans.The objective of the competition was to encourage the students to improve their calligraphy skills. The students participated in it with a great zeal and excitement. It provided a platform for the students to display their competency of legible writing and develop their fine motor skills.
The response of the students was overwhelming. Majority of the students had put in their best foot forward to enhance their writing skills. The best handwritings were selected from each class and the results were shared with all the students on their respective blogs. The winners were applauded for their splendid performance.
