Title : CLASS 3 A – ONLINE ASSEMBLY ( 2020-21 )

15. 07. 20
Topic – Gratitude

“In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.” ~Brother David Steindl-Rast

As the school reopened in the month of July for Online Teaching, the students of class 3A under the guidance of their Class Teacher along with their parents took up the challenging task of conducting the first Online Assembly after the Summer Break on the 15th of July 2020. While all at their respective homes, they worked cohesively to make this event a resounding success.

The theme for the said assembly was “GRATITUDE – Let’s make it our every day ATTITUDE!”
The assembly brought out the essence that the Lord has blessed us with numerous gifts and there’s always something to be grateful for. Even in times of uncertainty, gratitude provides us the strength to face harsh realities with courage.
The Online Assembly that was conducted through a “Google Meet” was attended by all the parents of the students of 3A, our respected Headmistress, Coordinators and staff members of the entire Junior Wing.
It started with a prayer, offered by the students to thank God for keeping us all safe and healthy in these difficult times. Different students shared their thoughts and personal reasons for being thankful which was followed by a beautiful rendition of a prayer song by a few students – thanking God for the many gifts he has bestowed us with.
A meaningful poem was recited to applaud all the medical professionals, doctors, paramedics, police force, sanitation workers, etc. for working tirelessly during this phase of adversity. They have acted as “Angels of God” indeed.
The students showcased the “THANK-YOU Cards”, made by them for these Covid warriors.
They concluded their performance with a ‘Thankful Dance – Praising the Lord – the Almighty’.
Though getting the students to sing and dance in synchrony was itself a daunting task, with one student in Imphal, another in Himachal, besides other students in different regions of Delhi/NCR, the students left no stone unturned in using the online platform to showcase and present their talent. They yet again proved that there is no stopping in adapting to change and achieving new milestones.
The assembly culminated with motivational and inspirational words by Mrs Kaushal, Junior School Headmistress, who appreciated the collaborative efforts put forward by students, their parents and the class teacher.
