Power Point Presentation (SDG 9) & Poster Making (COVID 19)
Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is……………..
St Columba’s School, New Delhi hosted first online Inter-School Science Symposium, on 30th July, 2020 on the topic "SDG 9 and COVID 19".
Students of class 10 were part of the engaging programme which commenced with the address of the Principal, Bro. Miranda, who urged the participants to develop a scientific temper for pursuing knowledge to contribute towards making India one of the most developed countries in the world. He advised the contestants to not only focus on learning and gaining experience through healthy competition but also bond with each other to become global citizens.
The event started with the felicitation of the event judges. Enthusiastic participants of reputed schools from Delhi participated in the event. Powerpoint presentations on Sustainable Develoment Goals were followed by handmade poster presentations on ‘COVID 19’.
The panel of judges comprised of experts from scientific field and arts. The ceremony also included a mesmerizing live performance on the drums and the violin by Jeremiah and Jossam. Annirudh sang a prayerful song. Team from St Thomas School was judged as the best for their informative power point presentation while the team from Modern School won the first position for their colourful handmade poster on COVID 19.
The judges and the participating schools appreciated the collaborative effort of the students and teachers.
