On the 24th and 25th of July, 2020, our school broke the new ground by transcending the Columban Fest from its physical form into the virtual experience to carry the 17-year-old Columban legacy forward.
“The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond it, into the impossible”
In years aplenty, filled with zest,
It's finally here, the Columban Fest
For once again, we invite us all
For creativity required our clarion call changed things up,
Online we go,
Vigour, Valour, Fiesty, Fervour
Seize the day, let’s play
- by Vansh Chadha
The prospect of conducting an event that can convey the Columban philosophy over the internet to everyone sitting in the comfort of their homes was challenging. Under the guidance of Mrs. V. Chauhan, the organizing team of the fest with their youthful energy and creativity took the challenge on their shoulders. The event witnessed the myriad of activities that were conducted at the inter-school as well as intra-school level.
The competitions were a fusion of talent, imagination, ingenuity, and passion. Ranging from solo singing, dance, instrumental, storytelling, art, acting to quizzing, photography, logo designing, debate, and mock stock, the activities helped to bring out the unique talents of each budding and inquisitive school student, bustling with new ideas.
The fest started with the intra-school competitions and the senior school teachers were left awestruck by the immaculate and effortless performances of the students. Next day, the event was graced by Mr. R. K. Dadoo, Guest of Honor, and Mr. Samir Kochhar, the esteemed Chief Guest. Spontaneity and confidence were the hallmarks of the fest as all the 40 schools that participated in the inter-school competition put up their best show. After being judged by an expert panel of adjudicators, Delhi Public School, Noida bagged the best school trophy. All the winners and the participants were applauded for their exceptional performances. The fest culminated with a vote of thanks from the principal, and the rendition of the school anthem.
