Special Assembly Detail

Title : EDMUND RICE DAY/MUHARRAM ASSEMBLY (2020-21)

‘One thing you may be sure of that while you work for God,whether you succeed or not He will reward you generously’. This thought resonated throughout the Edmund Rice Day Assembly. St.Columba’s celebrated Founder's Day on the 28th of August.The students from all the three sections of our school came together to commemorate this significant day.
 

The students also shared  religious significance of Muharram.Arham a student of class IX-B shared about the life of Imam Hussain and his ideas of kindness, justice and equality.  
Later a musical presentation was rendered by the students of VII-B in honour of our Founder Blessed Edmund Rice celebrating his ideals.Students learned how passionate Blessed Edmund Rice was about education. The junior and the senior sections showcased artistic paintings and a soulful prayer. At the end, our principal Brother Miranda spoke about the importance of the vision of Edmund.

 

He also urged the young learners to consider giving back to society.  The vision of Edmund was “Liberation through education”.Our founder showed us the path to walk on in these troubled times.
