ST. COLUMBA’S SCHOOL & THE 300 M CHALLENGE OF KATHA
A NOVEL COLLABORATIVE PROJECT OF REACHING OUT IN COVID-19 TIMES
This year we are very happy and honoured to associate with KATHA as our NGO Partner for our Community Service Programme designed especially keeping in mind the students of Senior Section. We were impressed by the work of Mrs. Geeta Dharamarajan and her Team who are not only committed and passionate about their work and vision but are also so generous and supportive of all endeavors to transform the lives of underprivileged children. Our Class 12 boys are participating in the 300 M Challenge and since we cannot work directly and on a one-to-one basis with any community, our students are recording audio clips of storybooks and creating worksheet and activity sheets for underprivileged children. These will be sent to 20 students of PRATYeK and we hope that through these story-sessions they will develop a love for books, stories, creativity and imagination. We will also create a library of more than 100 books for them once the lockdown ends. All this is being done with one noble intention – to transform the lives of our students and make them influencers who can empower and support those who are vulnerable and voiceless
