The students of Class 2C came together with hearts full of gratitude, praising and thanking the Lord for all his gifts and blessings on the bright morning of 9th September 2020. The theme-“Being Thankful” was aptly chosen as we all are passing through these unprecedented times during lockdown. Many in our society are facing a lot of hardships and going through a difficult phase in their lives.
The boys however reminded us that there is so much to be grateful for, as each day is a gift from the Almighty. We must always be thankful for all the small mercies bestowed upon us.
The students began the assembly with a prayer seeking God’s blessing followed by a melodious hymn on being thankful. A beautiful and meaningful presentation was shown to highlight the significance of God’s blessings in our everyday lives.
The students paid a special tribute to all the doctors and health care workers for their invaluable contribution during this pandemic.
An interesting News Report by two confident news reporters of 2C that followed updated the viewers about various school activities and online classes. The reporters thanked the entire Columban Fraternity for their remarkable service in educating the young learners and preparing them to be “Leaders for Tomorrow”.
The assembly ended with the Class teacher Mrs R Dey reiterating the significance of “Being Thankful”, and stating that each day is a “Gift from GOD”. The Headmistress, Mrs R. Kaushal concluded the assembly with her closing speech by applauding the children for their wonderful performance and expressed her thoughts that we must always be grateful and appreciate the blessings showered on us by God.
