‘God gave us eyes to see the beauty in nature and hearts to see the beauty in each other.’
The students of class 2D got a wonderful opportunity to conduct the Online Assembly on the lovely morning of 7th October, 2020. The topic of the assembly was ‘Love and respect everyone despite the way they look’.
The assembly began on a pious note with a prayer from ‘The Guru Granth Sahib’, followed by a lovely hymn ‘Everything I am...!’ The boys came up with a short skit presentation narrating the story – ‘The Proud Rose’.
In the story the students depicted how a pretty rose in all its vanity detests growing next to a cactus. The rose in due course of the story learns how it’s not the outer appearance but rather the inner beauty that matters. Through the simple yet meaningful short skit the boys gave a beautiful moral to one and all. They stressed how the qualities of a person are much more important than the way one looks. It’s not only the outer beauty that matters. What matters the most is how you touch the lives of others with your kind and loving deeds.
The boys also integrated Environmental Studies into the assembly theme as they shared a few interesting facts about a rose and a cactus. The assembly concluded with the Headlines of the Day including International, National, Sports and Weather news.
Our Headmistress, Mrs Kaushal appreciated the hard-work of the students. She encouraged the boys to practice the good values and deeds that are nurtured both in school and at home.
