Title : ACADEMIC PRODIGIES IN SCS ( 2021-22 )

Our high school boys are making a prominet mark in the world.


A. Aryan Verma, from XII-C and Sushant Kumar from XII-D have cleared the 2020 National Talent Search Exam, stage II organised by NCERT with flying colours. 

B. Karman Singh Saluja of class XII-E participated in a 3- day online workshop held by Fortis Healthcare on the introduction of sports psychology and a 4-day one on Clinical Psychology programme.

C. Shambhava S. (12-D), Aditya Sebastian (12-F), Artham Pedneker (12-D), Celestine Saji (12-D) of St. Columba’s School recently took part in ‘The Creativity Marathon’, an opportunity for high school students from all around the world to come together to solve some of the world's greatest challenges through a filmmaking competition, organized by Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida, United States of America. With over 500 video submissions, participants varied from over 10 countries, including U.S.A., Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, India, Brazil, Columbia and the Dominion Republic. They were assigned the task of making a video about effective and practical solutions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and were awarded the prize for the ‘Best Video Editing’, winning a trophy for the same, which would be shipped and sent to the school.

D. Ansh Gupta of class 12 A won a prize in the international Globalshala’s Superhero-U competition. It was an entrepreneurial event that was based on counter social issues. He won a total scholarship of $3100, a superhero batch, certificate and an International virtual internship on Data Visualization. 

E. Ansh Gupta of class 12-A secured 3rd position in the Financial Literacy Quiz organized by Streak, a neo-banking organization. He was awarded a certificate and a MI Band 3. 

F. Ansh Gupta of class 12-A was selected for a 5-day program organized by Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE), an international body for imparting economics knowledge to future global leaders. He learnt about core economics concepts as well as fundamentals of leadership. Apart from that, he was able to network with various international students from USA and South Korea. He won cash prizes for exceptional performace during the summer program.  

G. Jeremiah Paul from class XI-B learned programming and took part in Level Up Santa Quiz. It was an International Programming Competition. He and his team secured 11th rank in the World and 5th Rank in India. Also as part of his efforts in Each One, Plant One Campaign, he formed the chain that was linked across different parts of India to plant 700 Saplings and  further took efforts to extend this campaign outside India. He collaborated with his uncle in New Zealand to get more than 700 saplings planted there.

H. Krissh Verma, participated in Mind Wars, GK Olympiad, winning 9th position and a cash reward of Rs 25000/-. He also participated in Chrizzer, an international quiz competition organised by Christ university, Pune, Lavasa. It was a four round competition where he reached the third round and was awarded a certificate. He participated in Silverzone Olympiad of Science, English and Mathematics and was awarded a gold medal and a silver medal along with a certificate of participation. He participated in the national financial literacy quiz cum assessment test and achieved 92% and a certificate of honour.
