St. Columba’s School in association with an NGO (Drive smart Drive safe) organized a Road Safety awareness campaign for the students of classes 6 to 10 on 28th July’21 at 1.15 PM. Around 100 students participated in this session. Mr. Anubrata Choudhary, Chief Sustainability Officer was the resource person.
The webinar focused on concept Doori Hai Zaroori. It was a micro training on changing driving behaviour. #Doori Hai Zaroori- A Nationwide Digital Campaign appealed for Traffic Distancing on the roads to reduce road accidents in the country. The campaign aimed to educate and train drivers on the benefits of keeping distance on roads. The other aspects of safe driving were also shared.
The boys were also provided with an opportunity to undergo the training to be the #Agent of Change and spread awareness in their friends, families, and also to their neighbours, by becoming trainer themselves.
The students took a great deal of interest in the webinar and interacted with the resource person as well. An E certificate was awarded to all the participants. It was an enriching webinar. The link of the recording will be shared with the other students for their benefit.
