Understanding Mind, Developing One’s Kind – A Psychology Webinar
An engaging and enriching interactive webinar was organised by the Psychology department of the school on 7th August 2021. Ms. Kritika Suri, a clinical psychologist working with RML hospital, New Delhi, conducted the webinar for our students.
The session commenced with an engaging presentation on the scope of psychology in the modern era along with the main challenges faced by the clinical psychologists during the pandemic which was followed by a productive discussion on the common psychological issues faced by the adversely affected people of this economically calamitous pandemic. Ms. Suri also discussed some of her most exceptional cases with the students.
Not forgetting some common problems associated with teenagers, this webinar also talked about signs and symptoms of depression, anxiety and other problems that might lead to a psychological emergency.
By the end of the webinar, a plethora of questions related to psychology were discussed and answered with many misconceptions also addressed and cleared. Lastly, the ethical issues involving subject-therapist attachment were also scrutinised.
Overall, with the spirited discussion, the psychology webinar was highly productive for attendees.
