Eid-e-Milad or Milad-un-Nabi is commemorated as the birth and death anniversary of Prophet Mohammad. It is both a time of rejoicing and a time of mourning since the Prophet passed away on the same day in 632 AD.
A Special Assembly was conducted on October 12, 2021 by Enrichment Centre Boys. Kunj of 5-D shared that the Prophet Mohammad was born in Mecca on the
12th of the Arabic month of Rabee-ul-Awwal. Aniket from 6-A and Ashley from 4-D added that people pay tributes, sings Naat and paeans of praise, organize gatherings to narrate stories and sayings, and people read from the Quran and the Prophet’s biography, people feed the poor and help the needy, and few people take out processions to mark the day through a brief narration. The Special Assembly concluded with Thangmuanlian, enlightening and encouraging each Columban to spread communal harmony and to resolve to make this world a better place to live in.
