Title : READING OF THE PREAMBLE ON 71ST CONSTITUTION DAY ( 2021-22 )

As part of the celebrations for the 71st Constitution Day of India which is celebrated on November 26 each year, President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated an initiative to read out the Preamble to the constitution in Parliament. This was done to generate awareness about the Constitution as part of the ongoing ‘Amrit Mahotsav.’

 The event was attended by Vice President MP Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Modi, Lok Sabha speaker, ministers and MPs. College students, government servants, college students, school students and teachers and people from all walks of life were invited to join online for the reading of the Preamble at 11am on 26th November, from their respective locations.

Saint Columba’s School took part in this event with maximum participation of teachers and students. Following the reading, the Prime Minister inaugurated an online quiz on Constitutional Democracy. The quiz was open to participation from people from all walks of life. Teachers and students from Saint Columba’s School took part in this online quiz.

Participation certificate were awarded to all the quiz participants.

  It was indeed a great effort to instill a sense of national integration and respect for those who worked hard to give us the Constitution.
