ASHADEEP FOUNDATION, GHAZIABAD

The venue for the outreach programme chosen by class 8 was Asha Deep foundation, an NGO situated in Ghaziabad.
Asha Deep foundation works on 3 main issues namely education, health and livelihood. This includes skill training for underprivileged youth, education for the children whose parents are in prison, pre school education for children whose parents are involved in rag picking, creche, old age homes etc.
In order to celebrate the spirit of Christmas 15 students from class 8 and 2 class teachers accompanied the boys to this foundation which is situated in the outskirts of Delhi.
We were welcomed by the Sectetary and Chairperson of the foundation, Mrs Chettyand her staff. Our students got a chance to interact with the children under the care of the foundation. A Presentation was shown to our students showcasing the work done by the NGO for the underprivileged. They also sang carols with the children and celebrated the real spirit of Christmas.They als gave gifts to the children which was contributed by all students of class 8.
