Outreach Programme Detail

Title : OUTREACH PROGRAM TO THE MISSIONARIES OF CHARITY CLASS-4 (2017-18)

To look through the window of life at bed ridden challenged children is the beginning of a journey of realization'

The purpose of outreach program is to kindle every soul and make the students realise that one must contribute and understand his/her social responsibilities towards the society.

The outreach program comprised of two stages. The first stage was an interactive session with our resource person who enlightened the boys with various states of India and their cultures. The objective of this session was to teach children inter-cultural living, respect and awareness of the diversity of our Indian culture.

The second stage comprised of a 'Visit to a NGO'. Each section of Class IV visited the 'Missionaries of Charity' in Commissioner Lane, Civil Lines on various dates between 22nd Jan - 31st Jan. The 'Missionaries of Charity' is a home for the physically challenged and abandoned children run by sisters. We all were greeted by sisters during our visit who then took us for a round inside the 'Mother Teresa Home'. The sisters work to bring out the child's innate abilities and help to enhance them. The students were surprised to see how these children were trained in painting, singing, etc. It was truly an enriching and a memorable experience for the boys.
