With all of us still wrapped around a Global pandemic, the Sports Committee took the most awaited Columban event to even greater heights as it hosted the second edition of the Virtual Sports Day which was combined with the celebrations of 75th Azadi ka mahaotsav- a government of india initiative. The grand event was held on the 11th of February 2022 and created an inclusive platform to allow all Columbans to display their competitive spirit.
The event began with the opening ceremony where the 3 Chief Guests for the day were introduced who highly reputed military and army personnel and Ex-Columbans namely Lt. Colonel Nikhil Allen Singh , wing commander Sandeep Jain and Commander Jomy John.
After which we commenced with the events . It boasted of events such as the Push-ups,Plank-Off, Crunches contests for the fitness enthusiasts as well as the Chess and Rubik's cube events for our intellectual athletes. The Card castle Keepy Ups, Chess and the Sports Quiz for the know-it-alls were also major attractions along with the E-sports and most anticipated Ipl auction .
After the conclusion of the events, the Sports day culminated with the grandest closing ceremony ever in the history of columban sports.
