PRISM – AN ARRAY OF COLOURS

Annual Kindergarten Show

Just as white light disperses into seven colours, which form the very basis of the spectrum, our children have the innate capability and talent to diversify into countless streams of life.

The school plays a pivotal role in this endeavour and on that note, we are proud to have presented the various skills acquired by the students of Kindergarten in St. Columba’s.

The boys and teachers of KG, celebrated their Virtual Annual Show 2021-22 on 3rd February 2022. The show aptly titled- “PRISM – An array of colours” gave a sneak peek into the varied hues and shades of our boys’ personalities and skills.

The five respective sections had their group performances as a befitting start.

The champs of KG-A started the programme with a soulful prayer. The children enacted a skit showcasing the beauty of the school through the eyes of a book that had managed to come from the Junior School Library. The book guided a boy who was looking for a school that made learning fun and helped him choose the school. The children swayed to the beats of the lively songs, ‘Jungle Dance’, ‘Happy song’, ‘Shape song’ and left all impressed. Art and craft activities, soft and life skills acquired by the boys were displayed during the programme. All the students of the section participated in this programme.

The little masters of KG-B reminded us about the importance of nature. The students delivered a strong message of ‘Saving Trees’ through a captivating skit. The rhythmic moves of our adorable students during the Boogie-Boogie dance left all enthralled.

The students of KG-C came up with a dramatic skit where they expressed their love for their school. There was a brilliant display of artwork, craft work and other projects conducted during the year which depicted the creativity and talent of our young lads.

The little superheroes of KG–D came up with an important message for all. Through a spell binding presentation, they urged all to follow the 3 Rs- reduce, reuse and recycle. The foot tapping dance performance on the song- ‘Unity is strength’ inspired everyone to do their bit.

The gems of KG-E began their programme with a heartfelt prayer followed by lively poems and songs. The boys came forth with a message to stay strong in these difficult times with a song-‘Together Once Again’

Apart from the respective class programmes the main event which followed was the combined performance of all the sections.  The theme of the show came alive with a walk down memory lane as the students enacted a nostalgic skit about a reunion of the St. Columba’s past pupils, where they come together to relive the wonderful memories from their school days. Tracing their footsteps down the activity rooms, fields, etc., they reflected on how fondly they remembered their school. It was a delight to see the alumni participating in a ‘Paper Boat making’ competition. The art activities and soft skills of the tiny tots were presented like a fantasy. The confident Kindergarteners through a beautiful art display conveyed the diversity in culture and languages of all the different states. They brought forth that in spite of all these differences, we are all one.

‘The PRISM – An array of colours’ turned out to be a golden opportunity for the children to show case their skills to their friends and teachers. The event culminated with a dance and musical extravaganza where the children grooved to the peppy beats.

It was an honour for the kindergarten family to present this event before our respected Principal, Brother Miranda along with Mr. Chopra, Administrator, Senior School and Mrs. Aparajita Sharma Pal, Headmistress, Middle School. It was a proud moment when they encouraged the boys and praised all their efforts. Our Headmistress, Mrs. Kaushal applauded the fantastic display of talent by the young boys and appreciated their hard work.
