Class 4,5, 6 and 7
Rhyme and Rhythm -- a spectacular programme of POEMS and SONGS was held in the Edmund Rice Hall at St. Columba's School, Middle Section on 24 November 2017.
Classes 4,5, 6and 7 participated in this programme. Parents of the students of these classes were invited as audience wherein recitation and singing talents of their children were showcased.
The Chief Guest for the event for Class 4 & 5 was Sister Gracy Paul, Principal of Convent of Jesus and Mary School and for Class 6 & 7 was Sister Stella, Principal Mater Dei School.
The programme commenced with floral tributes to the Blessed Edmund Ignatius Rice by The Chief Guest and Headmistress, Middle School, Mrs. S. Sheel.
Students of each class recited a poem and sang a song related to a particular theme. The diction, intonation and voice modulation of the boys in perfect synchronization weaved a spell of exquisite poetic and musical charm. Their confidence and flawless pronunciation added depth to the entire melodious presentation.
The mesmerizing musical notes and beautiful lyrics of the songs left the audience spellbound.
The superb decorations and awesome lights further contributed to the genuine appreciation by one and all.
Truly, a remarkable amalgamation of the creative genius and dedication of the teachers along with the hard work and sincerity of the students that received a well-deserved, thunderous applause from all who witnessed it.
