Peter 1:3: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
Easter celebrates the defeat of death and the hope of salvation. Christianity holds that the sins of humanity were paid for by the death of JESUS and that HIS RESURRECTION on the third day is celebrated as EASTER.
Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Death had no dominion over him.
The students of class-3A and 3D put up a special assembly to celebrate Easter in the Junior School. The boys began by reading a verse from the Holy Bible followed by a prayer. The students came together to enact 3 scenes, starting with Maundy Thursday, where Jesus washed the feet of his twelve disciples. This scene had a beautiful integration of the 5Ps of the SDGs (people, peace, partnership, prosperity, planet)
The next enactment was a poignant depiction of Jesus on the cross to mark Good Friday. Finally, the Easter message was shared in the last scene when Jesus rose from the tomb and brought new life to all who believed in HIM.
The boys performed exceptionally well and evoked the true spirit of Easter. The assembly was graced by our respected Principal, Brother Robert Fernandes and Junior School Headmistress, Mrs Ritu Kaushal who were impressed by the performance. The assembly culminated with Brother Robert addressing the students and delivering the Easter message.
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
