Title : EDUCATIONAL TRIP FOR CLASS IX (2017-18)

DATE: 30th JANUARY 2018

VENUE: HUMAYUN'S TOMB AND LODHI GARDEN

TIME: 8:30 AM -1 PM

On 30th November, 2018 an Educational trip to Humayun's Tomb was organized for the students of Class 9. It was a perfect day for the trip to the Humayun's Tomb, the first garden tomb on the Indian subcontinent and also the first to use red sandstone on a large scale.

The tomb was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1993. It was commissioned by Humayu''s wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562 AD and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyath, a Persian architect.

The students were enthusiastically asking the guide questions about the Tomb and Mughal period and some students took copious notes.

Then the next stop was the magnificent Lodhi Garden where the students enjoyed their lunch and played on the grounds and took a Heritage walk among the monuments on the gardens.

On the whole it was an enriching experience for students as the trip was very informative and enjoyable.
