COLUMBAN MUN (2017) - DAY 3

The second edition of the Columban Model United Nations was organised on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of November, 2017 in the school. The event saw the participation of two hundred and fifty six students from schools across Delhi and NCR. The three day conference witnessed intense debate on a variety of issues related to international politics. The committees convened and the agendas discussed are as follows.

 

1. Conference Of Parties: Reviewing the actions taken in accordance with implementation of Paris Agreement

2. Citizens' Dialogue: Reforming education policy in India.

3. UEFA: Length of transfer window/Video assistant referees/Role of player agents

4. Lok Sabha: Discussing Reforms in the Indian bureaucracy

5. Radcliffe Border Commission: Classified

6. UNGA: The Rights and Relocation of Indigenous Peoples of South East Asia.

7. UNHRC: Discussion on Migrant Children at risk of Trafficking and Exploitation

8. UNSC: Situation in Syria

 

A panel comprising distinguished and experienced executive board members ensured that the debates were of the highest standard.

 

The SOCIALS followed by the group building activity held on the evening of the 2nd day of the conference was also thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants.

 

The Secretariat was appreciated for its commendable efforts in organising a successful MUN conference.
