A REAL FRIEND IS ONE WHO WALKS IN WHEN THE REST OF THE WORLD WALKS OUT’
The students of Class 2D came together to organise the morning assembly on 17th August 2022.
The presentation centred on the topic – ‘Friendship’.
The assembly began with motivational quotes followed by the Lord’s prayer. Post that the students dressed in bright colourful dresses, greeted everyone with a dance performance on the song – ‘Hello everybody, how are you today?’ They carried smiley cutouts to wish everyone with bright smiles and enthralled the audience with a foot-tapping performance. An interesting skit showcasing the ‘Secret Recipe of Friendship’ followed, where the students impressed one and all with their performance.
The boys cited the special ingredients of friendship– sharing, kindness, helpfulness, laughter, cheerfulness, love, smile and happiness. After the skit, the students danced to a peppy song – ‘Iko – Iko’. They moved and swayed with coordinated dance steps and much enthusiasm.
After the dance performance, the students came up with some interesting quotes and the 'Thought of the Day' on friendship which was – ‘It is not important to have a long friend list on WhatsApp and Facebook but it is important to have one friend who can read your face as a book.’ The students also mentioned the three new words which they learnt from their assembly, along with their meanings.
The assembly beautifully included all the 5Ps along with Social Justice.
Our honourable Principal, Brother Robert addressed the students and encouraged them to build strong friendships so that their friends can be around them during difficult times. Mrs Kaushal, the Junior School Headmistress urged the boys to respect each other and not fight among themselves. The assembly was enjoyed by one and all present there
