Nikki Giovanni aptly said that, Poetry and music are very good friends. Like mommies and daddies and strawberries and cream -
they go together. In consonance with this, we had our much- awaited Rhyme and Rhythm competition for classes 4&5 and classes 6&7 on the 23rd and 24th of August 2022 respectively.
The chief guest for the two days was Brother Sameer, Christian Brother who is also part of the St Columba's family.
After two long years at home, it wasn't easy for the students to return to the onsite performance mode. They therefore put in a lot of hard work which was reflected in their performances. While the students worked hard in learning their parts, the teachers went the extra mile in training the students for the event with much love and dedication.
The team of English teachers of classes 4,5,6 and 7 included Ms. Sisha Joseph, Ms. Neha Malhotra, Ms. Merlin Jose, Ms. Roscilin Bernard, Ms.Iqra Ansari, Ms. Rebecca Balma, Ms. Neha Rawat, Ms. Pearl Kempster, Ms. Helen Noronha, Ms. Vandana Shah, Ms. Deepika Kapoor, Ms. Irene Vaz, Ms. Simrah Mehmood and Ms. Rajashree Vipin.
The team of Special Educators of the Middle school that included Ms. Gail Pereira, Ms. Manju Thukral, Ms. Kanika Khanduri, Ms. Sonia Kumar and Ms. Sanya Malhotra also collaborated with the mainstream teachers to train the students for the event.
This event would not have been possible without the training by Mr. Macdonald Samuel - Our beloved Music teacher. He made sure that our lads were in rhythm.
Ms. Manu Kalra (Computer Teacher), Mr. Manoj Kar and Ms. Dhasmana (Art Teachers) worked tirelessly for making the entertaining powerpoint presentation and artistically decorating the Edmund Rice Hall.
The members of Rhyme and Rhythm team that worked hard to tie the loose ends together to make it a spectacular show were: Ms. Anup Kaur (coordinator 6, 7 and 8), Ms.Rajashree Vipin, Simrah Mehmood,
Ms. Sucheeta Pall and Ms. Iqra Ansari.
