Listening is the key to all effective communication. We at St.Columba’s reinforce our students to be good listeners.The boys of Class 1A presented their Class Assembly on listening skills on 1st September 2022. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer followed by a short skit.
The students conveyed a beautiful message about the significance of listening and paying attention in class and at home through an enactment. The speakers elaborated on how listening helps us to learn. Simple yet important steps to be an active listener were well explained through the skit. The scenes were based on real life situations to which the students could relate well to. The students acted with ease and confidence.
A soulful presentation of “Saraswati Vandana” won the hearts of all as the boys sang melodiously and a gifted table player from 1A, Priyatosh Sri proficiently played the tabla and matched the beats.
The assembly concluded with the “Thought of the day” encouraging one and all to be active listeners. Our respected Principal, Brother Robert laid emphasis on the importance of listening well and appreciated the efforts of the students. Mrs Kaushal praised the boys and reminded them to listen to their teachers and parents. She applauded the theme of the assembly chosen by the boys.
